The Pirate's Dilemma

Matt Mason, author of The Pirate Dilemma (which I am currently reading) made a very good video trailer getting the word out: Piracy has always been a major part of history, with not only bad but many good consequences such as the rise of the US as a country and of Hollywood as an entertainment industry.

With my company, zSlide, we're knee deep in this dilemma because we're focused on digital media and entertainment applications. Our move is to do all we can to please our users with services such as Podmailing. Although we're being careful not to cross the line, we do help media companies with consulting to understand these changes and solve the Pirate dilemma by fusing this dimension into their strategy.

Watch the video and tell me how you stand, regarding the Pirate Dilemma:

Great post, great video. Thanks for sharing. I work in the educational system, specifically professional development across various school districts, and the topic of copyright/piracy comes up very often. I have my own feelings, but it was nice to see another's view with the video. Cheers ~
